Rogue Runner has been playing roller derby for the past six years. She spent her inaugural years coaching and jamming with the Dolly Rockit Rollers (Leicester, England) before moving to the big smoke and London Rollergirls in 2011. Rogue Runner is a valued jammer for both London Brawling and England Roller Derby.
You may recognise Rogue from her unique (and fun) style of jamming… jaw dropping speed and acceleration, huge jumps and incredible agility. Rogue says, “I love thinking up new ways to work as a jammer, dissecting the game and thinking up new ways to attack and be smart. I think its so important to train for all aspects of this game… skill, physical, mental, strategic and team work.”
Rogue is an experienced derby coach both at home with London Rollergirls and also away while travelling the world (most recently at Derby Fest in Australia near the beginning of the year). With a background in sports and fitness and as the founding member of Fitness Gone Rogue, Rogue has an incredible eye for pinpointing areas of improvement and breaking down skill in an understandable and workable way.
We couldn’t be happier to support Rogue Runner for the 2016 season. Welcome to the family Rogue!
You can see Rogue Runner in action with her team THIS weekend at The European Smackdown D1 tournament in Malmo, Sweden
